Job DescriptionLaSalle Network has partnered with a global food processing and manufacturing company in the northern suburbs of Chicago. They are looking to hire a Senior Purchasing Manager to help them grow their business. As a Senior Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspect of procurement, sourcing, vendor management and contract negotiation.Senior Purchasing Manager Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting market research and supplier assessments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select suppliers that meet quality standards and cost-effectiveness
- Implement just-in-time (JIT) and lean inventory principles to improve working capital efficiency
- Negotiate contracts and request RFPs
Senior Purchasing Manager Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field; master's degree a plus
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within an manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with purchasing software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
